Introduction of Wet Ball Mill
Wet ball mill is a new type of ball mill that adopts a special rolling bearing as the support structure of the cylinder body and is designed according to a new concept. It systematically solves the life and alignment problems of heavy-duty rolling bearings used to replace sliding bearing bushes, sealing problems under harsh environmental conditions, and cylinder movement problems caused by long-term work. Compared with the traditional ball mill, the motor power of the wet ball mill with this technology can be reduced by 18 - 25%, lubricating oil 70%, cooling water 90%, and comprehensive energy saving more than 20%.
Working Principleof Wet Ball Mill
The working principle of a wet ball mill is similar to that of a dry ball mill, but there are some differences. Wet ball mill needs to add an appropriate amount of water or absolute ethanol in the grinding process, which means that there are certain requirements for grinding concentration. The amount of water is determined by the nature of the material. The qualified materials are discharged out of the cylinder through the discharge port, and the unqualified materials are returned to the wet ball mill for regrinding.
Featuresof Wet Ball Mill
The wet ball mill has better performance, higher grinding efficiency, and a lower requirement on ore moisture content.In addition,it has less auxiliary equipment and a simple material transportation device, so the investment is about 5% - 10% lower than that of a dry ball mill. Considering the economic effect of grinding operation, most concentrators will use wet ball mill because of its strong adaptability to materials, continuous production, and large crushing ratio. Wet ball mill has higher grinding fineness and better beneficiation effect.
